ETC defines Community Tourism as “educational travel with a priority focus on the positive economic impacts travel can have on places visited, while minimizing the ecological, social and cultural impacts through the pursuit of service and volunteerism, engagement with the local community, traveler philanthropy and stewardship of the environment.”
